Fee capNo general statutory fee cap. During a declared catastrophic incident (President or Governor), fees are capped at 10% of any insurance settlement or proceeds, and no upfront fees are permitted (G.S. 58-33A-60(d)).
SolicitationA public adjuster shall not solicit an insured during the progress of a loss-producing occurrence, and may not solicit between 9 PM and 9 AM (G.S. 58-33A-80). Insureds may rescind the contract within 3 business days of signing (G.S. 58-33A-65).
